Az Európai Unió támogatásával, az Erasmus+ Stratégiai Partnerség a Felsőoktatásban program keretében megvalósuló EUSecure Projekt részeként Olaszországban, 2022. július 17-23. között nyári egyetemen vehetett részt a Víztudományi Kar két hallgatója, Purgel Kende és Trencsényi Zoltán Árpád.
„Mindketten sok élménnyel jöttünk haza az egyhetes útról. Az induláskor kíváncsian vártuk, hogy milyen biztonsági kihívásokkal kell az Európai Uniónak rövid és hosszú távon szembenéznie; valamint ezekre milyen megoldások lehetségesek. A csapat több kar hallgatóiból tevődött össze, így sok témában tudtunk jeleskedni és ez a tanórákon, vitaszekciókban is megmutatkozott. Minket külön érdekelt, hogy a máshonnan jött hallgatók mit tudnak a vízpolitikáról, vízügyről, hisz az nemzetközi szinten is jelentős tényező.
A nyári egyetem a „csizma sarkában” elhelyezkedő Leccében volt. Mellettünk képviseltették magukat görög, portugál, helyi olasz diákok és az erdélyi Sapientiáról is egy csapat. A közös nappali, majd esti programok révén jobban megismerhettük más országok álláspontját, gondolkodását. Hétfőtől csütörtökig jobbnál jobb előadásokon vettünk részt. Néhányat felsorolva: volt szó az interjúkészítésről, migrációról, klímaváltozásról, a megatrendekről és sok másról. Érdekes volt látni, hogy a tengerparttal rendelkező országok vízpolitikája mennyivel eltér a mi tematikánktól. A régiót is sikerült megismerni, hisz a házigazdáknak is érdekük volt, hogy ne csak a tanulásról legyen szó. Természetesen az olasz pizza sem maradhatott ki. Pénteken a hét lezárásaként a tanultakat alkalmazva egy szimulációs játékban vettünk részt, ahol a 27 tagállamot képviseltük két fős csoportokban. A téma az Unió egészségügye volt, ahol egy irányelvmódosításról kellett vitáznunk és országunk érdekeit képviselve szavaznunk. A szimuláció sikeres volt, az „EU-s irányelveket” elfogadták. Mindenki számára nagy élmény volt, sok új tapasztalatot, barátot szereztünk, akikkel mind tenni akarunk az EU biztonságos jövőjéért”.
Two students of the Faculty of Water Sciences, Kende Purgel and Zoltán Árpád Trencsényi, participated in the EUSecure summer school in Italy from 17th to 23rd of July.
We came home with lots of experience from the trip. Upon departure we were eager to learn what kind of security challenges the EU has and must face in the short and long run, and what are the possible solutions. The team members came from different faculties, and so we could excel in several topics. It was so visible on the lectures and the debate sections. We were quite interested about the water policy knowledge of the foreign students as water management is a rather important international issue. The summer university was in Lecce, in the “heel of Italian boot”. There were Greek, Portuguese, local Italian, and Transylvanian students in the teams. During the joint day and evening programs we could understand better the opinion and thinking of the other countries. We participated in excellent lectures from Monday to Thursday. Just to list a few: interviewing, migration, climate change, megatrends, etc. It was astonishing to see the difference in water policies of the countries with seaside compared to us. We have managed to see the region as well. As our hosts were pride to show their country to us. It was lot more than just a learning session and of course we haven’t missed the Italian pizza.
After all the lectures we participated in a simulation game on Friday. We presented the view of the 27 Member States in groups of two. The topics was an EU policy change in healthcare, and we presented the interests of our country, we had long debates and a vote at the end. The simulation was successful, we’ve accepted the “EU policy changes”. It was a great experience for all of us. We gained lots of experience and new friends. We will keep in touch and do everything possible for the successful EU future.
